THE LANDS OF FRATTULA IN THE MARCHE REGION ITALY
The lands of Frattula between the sea and the hills of Marches, encircling an almost unharmed rural landscape which reveals a unique farming land whose roots date back to the middle ages. It was in this period that the monks of Fonte Avellana worked the lands according to a "Social Christianity" in a van revolutionary experience.
These past times have never been completely lost in the local traditions and today can be found on our tables, in typical products such as the wine, olive oil, honey and salami of Frattula, the result of the pig of Frattula: there are traditional half-wild breedings that follow a natural feeding with acorns also. Moreover there are rigorous rules that guarantee raw materials of first quality and the authenticity of farm products.
The cities that form the lands of Frattula are Castel Colonna, Monterado, Ripe (Trecastelli nowadays) Corinaldo and Senigallia, luxuriant lands dotted with majestic olive-trees, lively vineyards and secular oaks.
